The PRIDE of Fairview

Just another Edublogs.org weblog

Our fieldtrip to the Governor’s Mansion was spectacular.  It was quite informational too, because I learned a lot of new things.  For instance, before coming on this trip, I thought that the Governor’s Mansion was Jim Doyle’s personal home, but today I learned that it is actually a home for the current governor. The house is owned by the state and most of the furniture and other items in the house are gifts to the state.  I also learned that reading is a very important part of my education because we had a guest speaker (from the

University of
Wisconsin.  She explained a typical day for her and really stressed the importance of reading.  That is what I learned from my trip to the Governor’s Mansion. (Oh, and it was quite fun as well.)
